360 memory Card to USB adapter

Sample

Here's one way to make a connector for the 360 memory unit to a USB port on a PC.

If you look at the connections they are one to one 360 to USB ignoring the shield.

Sketch

I used strip board cut to size carefully to line up the strips with the contacts in both the USB socket at one end and the 360 memory card at the other.

I also easily found a 20 ohm 0.6 w resistor (9p Maplin UK.) So I only needed one resistor to drop from 5v to 3.3v.

Finished

I intended to pad it out with plastic to make it fit the 360 memory card tightly but I went one stage further and used some sprung connections extracted from an old floppy drive edge connector.

Parts from edge connector

The USB end just needs a flat surface because the sprung connections are in the USB socket that this adapter plugs in to.

I used the drivers detailed in the http://www.360gamesaves.com/ forums and Xplorer360 Beta 3 v2.
